- Go to a Driver License or a Motor Vehicle Service Center.
- Complete an application form.
- Submit form along with all other required documents.
- Pay the application fee.

- Proof of completion of a Traffic Law & Substance Abuse Education Course or license from another state, country, or jurisdiction.
- Parental Consent Form - must be notarized or signed in the presence of a driver license examiner.

EligibilityEdit
All first-time applicants for a motorcycle endorsement must complete a department-approved Motorcycle Safety Education Course.
Motorcycle License: Minimum age requirement, 16
Moped: Class E license or higher- motorcycle endorsement is not required. Note: Passengers under 16 years of age must wear approved protective headgear. A Moped tag is required. Personal Injury Protection insurance is not required.
Scooters 50 cc or less: Class E License or higher - scooter must be street legal, (i.e., require proper operating equipment- brake lights, headlight, mirror etc. per S. 316 F.S., and tag, title and registration.

- Original Class E (includes Learners license): $48.00
- Original/Renewal Commercial Driver License: $75.00
- Original School Board Commercial Driver License: $48.00
- Renewal Class E: $48.00
- Tax Collector Service Fee (This fee applies to all driver license transactions in tax collector offices): $6.25
- Renewal School Board Commercial Driver License: $48.00
- Replacement license: $25.00
- Late Fee: $15.00
- Endorsements: $7.00
- Knowledge retest: $10.00
- Skill retest: $20.00
Note: All state-operated (DHSMV) offices accept American Express, Master Card and Discover credit cards. Not all County Tax Collector's Offices do. Please contact the office you intend to visit in advance if you have questions about the use of credit cards.
