- Go to a police department.
- Request for a PUK code to be sent to your address.
- Prove your identity.
- Pay the fee.
- Once you received the code, follow the instructions issued by the Population Register Centre to unlock your identity card from any computer with an Internet connection.

Request to open a locked identity card(also a Population Register Centre fee of 10 for ordering the letter containing the PIN code) - 10
An identity card is valid for 5 years.

When your electronic identity card has been locked, you can request the police to send you the PUK code for your card.
