Procedure

1. Go to a police department to apply for a parallel permit.
2. Present a proof of identity (passport or ID), original permit holder's consent and reasons or purpose of the application (in writing) and other application-specific appendices.
3. Complete an application form.
4. Pay the fee.

• the original permit holder's consent
• reasons or purpose for seeking the license (in writing) and other necessary documents supporting the application
• military passport, certificate of non-military service, call-up certificate or other certificate that the person is exempt from military service

Eligibility

The applicant must be aged 18 and above. He or she must also be considered fit in accordance with his or her health.

Parallel permit - 24
Additional permit for the same type of permit applied for at the same time - 20
Renewal of possession and parallel permit - 24

Validity

A parallel permit is granted for the duration of the possession permit, but not for a period longer than ten years.

Need for the Document

Firearms can only be obtained with an acquisition license, which can be applied for at the local police for a fee. For individual firearm, a separate license is required. The number of firearms a person can own is not limited in any way. With the primary licensee's consent, the police can grant a parallel permit for a firearm or firearm component to other persons.
