Apply In-Person:
- To Obtain Clearance Permit for Timber, the applicant must go to the Biosecurity of Authority office in Fiji. Contact Link
- The timber importer (applicant) must obtain the appropriate application form from the Fiji Biosecurity Authority office.
- Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents, it should be submitted to the Biosecurity inspection officer.
- The prescribed fee payment must be made and the payment receipt must be attached along with the application form.
- After submitting the application, the Biosecurity officer will inspect the timber according to the Noxious weeds, pests, diseases of plants regulations act.
- After completely verifying the timber, the timber clearance certificate will be issued to the applicant.
- With the Timber Clearance certificate, the applicant can apply for the Timber Import Permit in BAF.

- The processing time will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

The timber owner/agent must apply for the clearance certificate to the Biosecurity Inspection officer.

- Inspection & Release of sawn timber & logs – per cubic metre - $11. 21
- Supervision of fumigation/BAF treatment of sample timber – per treatment - $71. 01
