Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To submit the declaration of Appointment of Agent (Ship), the applicant must visit the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF). Contacts Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the MSAF office, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and then it should be submitted to the CEO – Chief Executive Officer in the MSAF.
5. The CEO in the MSAF office will verify the application form and then will update the details.
6. The fee details for the application will be intimated to the applicant while applying.
7. The processing time for this procedure will be intimated by the authorities in the MSAF office.

Eligibility

The application must be filed by the owner of the ship, and also the ship must be registered before applying for the agent declaration.

Fees

The fee details for the application will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

Validity

The Agent declaration is valid until the owner changes the agent or the owner cancels the ship registration.
