Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for a Commercial Jet Boat Driver License, the applicant must visit the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF).Contact Link
  2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the MSAF office, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
  3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents, it should be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer in Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji.
  5. The CEO will verify the application, and the final approval will be made by the CEO.
  6. Finally, the license will be issued to the application by the CEO.
  7. The complete fee details for this application are given below in the “Fees” section of this page.
  8. The processing time for this procedure will be intimated by the authorities in the MSAF office.

  • A valid First Aid Certificate.
  • A valid Medical Certificate. (From MSAF approved Medical Practitioner) Medical Practitioner List Link
  • Evidence of Eyesight Test. (From MSAF approved Optometrist) Optometrist List Link
  • Evidence of successfully completed structured driver training program.
  • Copy of Birth Certificate.
  • 1 Passport Size Photo.

Any individual who meets the eligibility criteria set by the MSAF are eligible to apply for the Commercial Jet Boat Driver License.

FeesEdit

  • The fee for the Jet Boat Operator Certificate is:
  • Application Fee- $28.75 (VIP)
  • Assessment, Processing and Issuance Fee - $86.25 (VIP)

The validity of the Jet Boat Driver License will be mentioned in the License issued to the applicant.
