Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for Survey of Pleasure Craft, the applicant must visit the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF). Contact Link
- The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the MSAF office, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
- Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents it should be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer of MSAF Fiji.
- The CEO will verify the application, and the procedure to survey the Pleasure Craft Ship approval would be issued.
- The fee structure for the Pleasure Craft Ship survey is are given below in the “Fees” section of this page.
- The processing time for this procedure will be intimated by the authorities in the MSAF office.

EligibilityEdit
The owner of the Pleasure Craft Ship is eligible to apply for the Survey application.
FeesEdit
- The fee details for the survey of the pleasure craft ship are:
- Initial Fee
- (= or < 15 m) - $5.00 plus $10.00 per m
- (- > 15 m) - $5.00 plus $15.00 per m
- Periodic (3 yearly)
- (= or < 15 m) - $5.00 plus $7.00 per m
- (- > 15 m) - $5.00 plus $10.00 per m
- Special (applicable to both) $5.00 plus $35.00 for first 2 visits.
- $20.00 for each additional visits.
ValidityEdit
The validity of the Survey Notice will be mentioned in the approval notice Issued to the applicant.

- Before applying for the Survey of Pleasure Craft Ships, the applicant must have given 24 hours written notice for attendance of a surveyor.
- Without completing the Survey, the Ship should not be moved from the port.

Need for the DocumentEdit
Without getting the Survey Declaration from the CEO of Fiji’s MSAF, the ship cannot be moved from the Slipway.
