Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Safe Manning, the applicant must visit the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF). Contact Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the MSAF office, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents it should be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer of MSAF Fiji.
5. The CEO will verify the application, and the Safe Manning Certificate will be approved.
6. The fee details for Safe Manning Certificate will be intimated to the applicant while applying.
7. The processing time for this procedure will be intimated by the authorities in the MSAF office.

The owners/agents of Motor Vessel Ship are eligible to apply for the Safe Manning Certificate.

Fees

The fee details for Safe Manning Certificate will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

Validity

The validity period of the Safe Manning will be mentioned in the Certificate issued to the applicant.
