Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Registration of Pleasure Craft, the applicant must visit the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF). Contact Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the MSAF office, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents it should be submitted to the Chief Executive Officer of MSAF Fiji.
5. The CEO will verify the application, and the registration will be approved by the authority.
6. The fee details for the registration are given below in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. The processing time for this procedure will be intimated by the authorities in the MSAF office.

Eligibility

The owner of the Pleasure Craft Ship is eligible to apply for the Registration application.

Fees

• The fee details for the application are:
• Application Fee - $ 4.80 (VIP)
• Assessment, Processing and Issuance Fee - $ 4.80/Metre (VIP)

Validity

The validity of the Ship Registration (Pleasure Craft) will be mentioned in the Registration Certificate Issued to the applicant.

Need for the Document

According to the Fiji’s Maritime Regulation Act, every Ship purchased in the Fiji Territory must be registered with the Registrar of Fiji Ships.
