Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Management Investment Scheme, the applicant must visit the Reserve Bank of Fiji office. Contact Link
  2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the Fiji Reserve Bank, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
  3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. While submitting the application, the applicant must pay the application fee, which is $1895.51 VIP.
  5. The application forms should be filled with necessary details, and along with the required documents, it should be submitted to the respective authority in the Reserve Bank of Fiji.
  6. The Management Investment Scheme application form will be analysed, and verified based on the Insurance Regulations Act -1998, by the respective authorities in the Reserve Bank of Fiji.
  7. After complete verification and document checks, if all the documents are legitimate, then the Management Investment Scheme License will be approved by the Reserve Bank of Fiji.
  8. The processing time will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

EligibilityEdit

  • The eligibility requirements will be explained clearly by the authorities in the Reserve Bank of Fiji.


Also, some of the important factors for eligibility criteria are:

  • The company should have more than 20 Members.
  • It should be promoted by a person, or Related Body Corporate of a person, who was, when the scheme was promoted, in the business of promoting MIS;(OR)
  • A determination under subsection 323 (2) of the Companies Act 2015 is in force in relation to the scheme and the total number of members of all of the schemes to which the determination relates exceeds 20.

  • The validity period will be mentioned in the license certificate issued to the applicant by the Reserve Bank of Fiji.
