Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for long-term work permit, the applicant should visit the Fiji Immigration Department. The overseas applicants must send the application to the Director of Fiji Immigration. Contacts
2. The application form should be obtained from the authorities in the Immigration department or else can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and then it should be submitted along with the required documents to the Director of Immigration Department.
5. After completely verifying the documents, the Immigration Department Officer will grant the work permit to the applicant.

7. The process of getting the long-term work permit approval takes up to 21 days.
   

Apply Online

1. To apply for the long-term work permit, the applicant should visit Fiji Immigration’s official Website. Website Link
2. The applicant can directly start applying using this link, there is no separate account creation is required.
3. Before starting the application form, make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The document requirement checklist is also available on the online portal.
5. Make sure to carry all the documents in PDF format.
6. The maximum limit of document to upload in the online portal is 30.
7. On the webpage, the applicant must fill in all the necessary details and then upload the documents.
8. The applicant should give a valid email address and phone number, which will be used for further communication purposes.
9. After uploading the required documents, apply by selecting the “Submit” option.
10. The payment must be done via Direct Deposits.
11. After the payment confirmation, the long-term work permit application will be verified and approved by the Immigration Officer.
12. The process of getting the long-term work permit approval takes up to 21 days.

Eligibility

The applicant should have Employment Contract from the Employer in Fiji, only then the applicant is eligible to apply for the long-term work permit in Fiji.

Fees

• Long Term Work Permit Application Fee - $ 452
• Long Term Work Permit Issue Fee - $ 452
  

Validity

• The long-term work permit is valid for 3 years for the first-time applicants.
• Before the work permit expires, the applicant must apply for extension.

• If the work permit applicant is a married person, then
• He / She must submit the Marriage Certificate
• Children’s Birth Certificate
• Police Report for Spouse
• Medical Reports for spouse and children (if applying for a permit)
