Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for De-Reservation of Land, the applicant must visit the iTaukei Land Trust Board office in Fiji. Contact Link
2. The applicant must submit a written letter expressing their interest in de-reserving the land to the TLTB or the Reserve Commissioner.
3. After submitting the letter, the authorities will inspect the land, and issue the approval for de-reservation of the land in the mentioned address.
4. Then, the “Outside the reserved area” board in the “de-reserved” land must be fixed, so that the public can know that the property is available for lease.
5. The fee details and the processing time to reserve the land will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

Eligibility

• The land owners in Fiji who registered their land for reservation are eligible to apply for De-Reservation of Land to the iTaukei Land Trust Board.

Fees

• The fees details for the application will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

Validity

• There are two validity periods for De-reservation, namely,
• Forever
• Certain Timeframe approved by the TLTB authorities.
• In case of certain time duration, the land will get back to “Reserved” category automatically after the validity duration.
