Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Assignment of Lease Funds, the applicant must visit the iTaukei Land Trust Board office in Fiji. Contact Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the TLTB office, or else it can be downloaded from the website. Application Form
3. The applicant should also write a letter stating the details of the request and the purpose of the assignment.
4. The applicant must get 60% approval signature from the tokatoka/mataqali/yavusa, who are 18 years or above, for the for getting the Lease assignment.
5. There are eligibility criteria set by the TLTB authorities to release the lease assignment funds for development purposes.
6. Make sure that you have all the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. After submitting application and required documents, the authorities in TLTB will analyse the annual income of the LOU in previous years through lease monies.
8. If everything is clear, the lease assignment will be released on a monthly-basis to the applicant.
9. The fee details and the processing time for granting the Seed Fund will be intimated to the applicant while applying.

• Minutes of the meeting of that tokatoka/mataqali/yavusa giving approval for any one of the reasons such as:
  • To assist the landowners in having a pool where they can source funds from for the purpose of education, vanua obligations, village development, etc. within each tokatoka/mataqali/yavusa.
  • Landowners starting a business.
• A letter from the bank if a loan is the purpose of the assignment.
• Other documents mentioned by the authorities while applying.
