Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. The application form for Changing or Modifying or Updating Information in a Passport is available in the Main Department for Immigration and Nationality Affairs contact link
2. Applicant should fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and Originals).
4. Applicant should attach the photocopies of the necessary documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting.
5. Please pay as per the authority’s request.
6. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed by the applicant properly, then, the process will get completed within 1-3 days.
7. If the applicant didn’t get the updated passport within two months, then, they can reach out to office for getting information on their application.
   

Apply Online

1. The application for changing or modifying or updating information in passport is available in the following application link.
2. Applicant should click on “Start New Application” button for new application.
3. Applicant must click on “I agree to terms and conditions” tab and then click on “Start Individual Appointment”.
4. On the following page, click on “Change Information”.
5. Applicant should fill-in all the necessary details in the application form and then click on “Next” button.
6. After this, the following page consists of a date to schedule an appointment, applicant has to choose a convenient date for their appointment and then click on “Next”.
7. The next page requests for personal information of the applicant, the applicant must provide all information that is requested in that page.
8. Applicant should upload the digital copies of the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
9. After this procedure, applicant must click on “Submit” button.
10. The fee can be paid online after submitting the application form.
11. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed by the applicant properly, then, the applicant will have to visit the office on the scheduled date for getting their passport.

Required Documents

• Legal documents indicating the change you wish to make in your passport e.g. court order
• Two copies of duly completed passport application form
• Certified birth certificate
• Original residence permit (in abroad)
• Two recent pictures with size 3x4cm
• Passport fee
• A fingerprint can be taken at local police station or from concerned authorities and authenticated by notary public.
• A self-addressed prepaid return envelope must be attached when an application is submitted by mail.

$117 for new passport.

Validity

The passport is valid for 5 years and contains 32 pages.
