Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for journalist visa, applicant has to approach the Ministry of Foreign Affairs location link
  2. Obtain the application form from the respective authority.
  3. Complete the application form with necessary details.
  4. Make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Submit the application form along with the documents to the concerned officer.
  6. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
  7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
  8. Fee for this procedure has to be as per the authority request and submit the receipt as a proof of payment.
  9. After verification process, authority will issue the journalist visa to the applicant.


Apply Online

  1. To apply for journalist visa through online, click the following online link
  2. Select the visa type as “Journalist Visa - JV” from the dropdown menu.
  3. Then select the citizenship as applicable.
  4. Then read the instructions and click on the checkbox. Then click on the checkbox against verification.
  5. Now click “Continue” button.
  6. Complete arrival information section with proper details and click “Next” button.
  7. Then complete other sections and submit the application using appropriate button.
  8. After verification process, authority will notify, the status of application or check the application status using the following link
  9. Thereafter applicant shall obtain journalist visa.
