Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for a postal address rental P.O. Box in Ethiopia is available in Ethiopian Communications Authority contact link
2. Applicant must provide all information that is requested in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page (both photocopies and originals).
4. Applicant must attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
5. Fee for this procedure is 450 ETB for a small personal box for a period of 12 months.
6. If the application passes through concerned authorities and gets an approval from them, post box will be provided to the applicant within a week.
7. If the applicant doesn’t get approval, they can visit the office and apply once again from the beginning.

Ethiopian citizens and permanent residents of Ethiopia who are willing to get a Rental P O Box are eligible.

Fees

Fee for this procedure is 450 ETB for 12 months.

Validity

Valid for 12 months upon receipt of rent paid by the customer.

• Working days of the Ethiopian Postal Service Enterprise is from Monday to Saturday.
• Working hours of the head office is 8 A.M. to 6 P.M.
• Sunday is a holiday, however, the head office works for 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.
