Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for work permit in Ethiopia is available in the Ethiopian Investment Commission contact link
2. Applicant has to enter all information that is mentioned under “Required Information” section of this page.
3. Applicant must make sure to carry all documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Applicant must have both photocopies and originals of the required documents.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of documents (whichever is required) along with the application form while submitting.
6. A fee of 600 Birr has to be paid for getting a new work permit.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, applicant can get their document within 7-21 days.
8. If the application is rejected, the applicant has to undergo the application procedure from the beginning.
