Procedure

• Book an appointment with the passport office
• Submit all required documents for approval; once your documents are approved the processing begins
• Fill in the application form and submit it
• Pay the application fee; passport will be ready in two weeks

Eligibility

All citizens of El Salvador are eligible to apply for a passport.

Fees

The value of the Salvadoran passport in Central is $ 40.00 and the rest of the world is $ 60.00.

Validity

The ordinary passport is valid for five (5) years from the date of issue.

Citizens can not have multiple Salvadoran passports at the same time.

Need for the Document

Salvadoran passports are issued to citizens of El Salvador to travel outside of the country. Passports are issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs or, if the citizen resides abroad, at the embassy.
