Apply In-Person:

To Renewal of Investment Permit in person, the applicant has to approach the Central Bank of Egypt link
The applicant must visit the office to obtain an application form for Renewal of Investment Permit from the respective department, as per the required criteria.
The applicant must fill in all the necessary details on the application form.
Once the application form has been filled out, the applicant should attach all the necessary documents, such as a copy of their current Investment Permit , a copy of their Articles of Association, audited accounts, and evidence of capital adequacy, all of which can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
The applicant should submit their application and relevant documents to the CBE for review, and the CBE will then assess and decide whether to approve the renewal.
After submitting the applicant application, the Central Bank of Egypt will review it and may request additional information to complete the process.
The applicant must wait for the Central Bank of Egypt to review their application and make a decision.
Meanwhile, the applicant can also inquire at the office to find out the status of their application.
Once all the internal processes are completed, the application will be approved, and the applicant will be notified of the approval via phone or email.
After receiving their notification, they can get a Renewal of Investment Permit , valid for three years.
The processing time for a Renewal of Investment Permit is 30-45 days from the date of submission.

EligibilityEdit

To be eligible for a renewal of an Investment Permit in Egypt, an investor must have a valid Investment Permit issued by the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).
The investor must also have a valid residence permit issued by an Egyptian government agency and must have a valid business plan that has been approved by GAFI.
Additionally, the investor must have an active bank account in an Egyptian bank and must have fulfilled all their financial and legal obligations related to their investment.

A person holding an investment permit must renew their permit before the month or week of expiry. Every investor is required to abide by the laws and regulations of the Country. An investor who submits an application for an investment permit shall, therefore, be automatically taken for unconditional commitment to all laws, regulations, directives and specifically those related to the specific investment area.
