Apply In-Person:

  1. To Obtain Air Traffic Controllers Licence in person, the applicant has to contact the nearest Civil Aviation Authority Office in Egypt Contact link.
  2. Information related to the civil aviation office and License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
  3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
  4. Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
  5. The   applicant   shall   submit a written application together with one passport size photograph and pay the prescribed fee and shall complete an application form.
  6. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section or this page.
  7. When all the conditions have been met, and have been satisfactorily certified by the Authority’s Licensing Office, the applicant will be advised to pay the prescribed fees found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  8. After paying the prescribed fees, a processing time of 7 days is needed to complete the processing of theObtain Air Traffic Controllers Licence, after which you will be contacted through a phone call to collect his/her new license at the civil aviation offices.
  9. Applicant will be required to carry your identification documents when collecting his/her new license.

  • A properly completed prescribed Application Form PEL 008 i.e.’’Application for Issue of an Air Traffic Controllers License Form
  • A current Class 3 medical certificate
  • A knowledge test report given after passing the Rating Board
  • An Authorized Training Organization Certificate certifying that the applicant has received and passed an approved training course in air traffic control
  • Two current passport size photographs (full face)
  • A photo identification card or Passport
  • Payment receipt of the prescribed fees of

EligibilityEdit

A person must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age;
  • Hold a current Class 3 Medical Certificate.
  • Have completed an approved training course and not less than three (3) months’ satisfactory service engaged in the actual control of air traffic under the supervision of an appropriately rated air traffic controller (OJT). This will be substantiated by a certificate of completion from the ATO. The experience

  • This License is valid for a period of twenty four months from the date of issue or renewal.

InstructionsEdit

The applicant should:

  • Take and successfully completed approved course of training
  • Obtain Application form from PEL Offices and complete the prescribed application form,
  • Submit all the required documents.
  • Pay the applicable fees and submit the payment receipt.
  • Wait for the processing period to elapse then collect your new Air Traffic Controllers License.

  • Air traffic control is used to separate aircraft safely – in the sky as they fly and at the airports where they land and take off again.
  • Air traffic controllers give instructions, advice and information to pilots so that they can fly safely, efficiently and quickly. Controllers keep track of flights by using radar and the latest computer systems.

  • Area Control Procedural Rating; to provide or supervise the provision of air traffic control service to controlled flights in control areas under its jurisdiction within the control area or portion of the control area, for which the license holder is rated; or
  • Area Radar Control Rating: to provide or supervise the provision of area control service with the use of radar, within the control area or portion of the control area, for which the license holder is rated.
