Egypt - How to Pay Electricity Bill

Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To pay your electricity bill, carry the electricity bill to the nearest electricity board office.
2. Pay the amount as mentioned in the bill to the designated person.
3. The applicant can also pay using a cheque.
4. The authorized person will give you an acknowledgement or receipt.
   

Apply Online:

1. To pay your electricity bill online for Vodafone service, navigate to the Link
2. Enter your mobile number and password and click on ‘Go to my account’.
3. Choose the appropriate service to pay the electricity bill and enter your electricity account number.
4. Enter the amount to be paid and make payment through a preferred payment method.

Eligibility

• The person payable should be aged above 18 years of age.
• The applicant should own a building, land or own an agreement in case they don't own land or building.
• They should have an electricity bill of previous month.
  

Fees

The amount mentioned on the electricity bill.

Validity

The bill is valid for 1 month.

The Government of Egypt contracted Cairo Electricity Production Company to be the entity that supplies/ distributes power in Egypt. There are several services that are available for specific areas and others are being disseminated across the remaining areas such as:

• Request for a new electric meter
• Request for an electric meter check up
• Request for transferring an electric meter
• Request for raising capacity
• Request for postponing subscription
• Query on a requests status
  

And there are two services available for all subscribers:

• Bill inquiry and payment (by Visa)
• Queries & complaints
