Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for an Employment Permit in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration Contact link
  2. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
  3. Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
  4. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant form while submitting it at the office.
  6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  7. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for verification and processing.
  8. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the authority.
  9. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
  10. After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
  11. If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
  12. The processing time for this procedure is 14 days

Required DocumentsEdit

  • A valid passport
  • Seven (7) passport photos
  • Two (2) copies of the employer incorporation contract
  • Two (2) copies of Tax ID Card
  • Two (2) copies of academic degree
  • A license required for practicing profession
  • A letter from the employer which states why it is necessary to hire a foreigner versus an Egyptian
  • Approval from the corresponding authority/ministry
  • An official spokesperson from the employer to act on your behalf for the work permit
  • A copy showing negative HIV results
  • A clearance showing approval from Egypt’s State Security Service

EligibilityEdit

Applicant who:-

  • Is offered employment by a specific employer, the Government of Egypt or any other person or authority under the control of the Government or an approved technical aid scheme under the United Nations Organization or some other approved Agency.
  • Is in possession of skills or qualifications that are not available in Kenya and whose engagement in that employment will be of benefit to Egypt.



FeesEdit

  • Processing fees (Non-refundable) EGP.10,000/=
  • Issuance Fees (Payable upon approval) EGP.200,000 /= per year
  • Applications for renewal of permits should be done three months prior to expiry date.



ValidityEdit

  • The validity period one year.

  • The registration fee is non refundable
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • Engaging in any form of business or employment without a requisite permit or pass is an offence.
  • The applicant must be present in person when the application is presented at the immigration headquarters or regional offices for registration.
  • Giving false or misleading information is an offence punishable by law
  • Any person who contravenes any provision or requirement of an order issued to a foreign national commits an offence and is liable to a fine, imprisonment or both

  • Any kind of payment made should be done through the provided online module.
  • It is an offence for a person to knowingly mislead an Immigration Officer ( section 53 (1)(a) of Egypt Citizenship and Immigration Act, (2011)
