Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for an Approved Religious or Charitable Activities Permit, the applicant must approach the Department Ministry of Manpower and Immigration Contact link
2. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
3. Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
4. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant form while submitting it at the office.
6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for verification and processing.
8. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the authority.
9. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
10. After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
11. If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
12. The processing time for this procedure is 14 days

Required Documents

• Two copies of detailed and signed cover letter from the employer / organization, addressed to the Director of Immigration Services
• Copy of a valid national passport
• Two(2) recent passport size colored photos (for both new and renewal)
• Current Immigration status if in the country
• Copy of any previous permit(s) and or pass(es) held
• Copy of registration certificate of the organization
• Certified copies of academic and professional certificates of the applicant
• Certificate of registration of the organization.

Eligibility

Applicant who:-

• Have acquired, or has received all permissions that may be necessary in order to acquire, an interest in land of sufficient size and suitability for the purpose.
• Has in his own right and at his full and free disposition sufficient capital and other resources for the purpose.
• And whose engagement in that business will be of benefit to Egypt.

Fees

• Processing fees (Non-refundable) EGP.1,000/=
• Issuance Fees (Payable upon approval) EGP.5,000 /= per year
• Applications for renewal of permits should be done three months prior to expiry date.

Validity

• The validity period one year.

Need for the Document

• This permit is issued to a person who is a member of an institution registered under the Society's Act who is engaged as a missionary, Member of a company limited by guarantee; Member of a trust registered under the Trustees Act and is approved by the Government of Egypt, and whose presence in Egypt will be of benefit to Egypt.

• Any kind of payment made should be done through the provided online module.
• It is an offence for a person to knowingly mislead an Immigration Officer ( section 53 (1)(a) of Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Act, (2011)
• Notification of approval shall be rendered null and void, if the requisite fee is not paid within thirty (30) days from the date of approval.
• Incomplete applications shall not be accepted.
• Additional documents may be requested in addition to the listed.
