Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for an Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Permit, the applicant must approach the MSD Animal Health Office Contact link
2. Applicant should obtain the application form from the authority.
3. An application must be submitted to the director general.
4. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful. A list of these documents can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page or at KVB registration requirements page.
5. The applicant receives documentation and must then provide all the elements required to determine the adequacy of the application.
6. A documentary review is carried out to determine the suitability of the file.
7. The veterinary Board shall upon receipt of the application, cause an inspection to be conducted of the veterinary laboratory. This is usually one day after the submission of the application and is done only once.
8. Applicant will be required to pay the appropriate inspection fees and submit the payment receipt. The amount of fees to be paid can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
9. If the board is satisfied that the applicant complies with the standards set out in regulations, the board will advise the applicant to pay the licensing fees.
10. After payment of the requisite fee, the board will approve the application and issue a license in Form. The license issued shall be valid for a period of one year calculated from the date of issue.
11. Inspections are done 1 day after the approval of application. Licensing is done 1 day after the inspection and approval.

• Duly filled and signed application Form
• Signed cover letter from the employer / self / organization addressed to the Director General of Immigration Services
• A Copy of national passport
• Two recent colored passport size photos
• Copy of any previous permit(s) and or pass(es) held
• Current Immigration status if in the country
• Proof of land ownership/leasehold
• Proof capital availability bank statement (minimum EGP 100,000)
• Clearance/license from relevant bodies
• Copy of PIN certificate
• Current, Signed audited accounts for the last one year (for renewals)

Eligibility

• Has acquired, or has received all permissions that may be necessary in order to acquire, an interest in land of sufficient size and suitability for the purpose.
• Has in his own right and at his full and free disposition sufficient capital and other resources for the purpose.
• And whose engagement in that business will be of benefit to Egypt.

Fees

• Processing fees for this procedure is 10,000 non-refundable.
• A license fee for this procedure is 100,000 per year.

Validity

• The validity period is one year.

• The registration fee is non-refundable.
• Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
• Engaging in any form of business or employment without a requisite permit or pass is an offence.
• The applicant must be present in person when the application is presented at the immigration headquarters or regional offices for registration.
• Giving false or misleading information is an offence punishable by law.
• Any person who contravenes any provision or requirement of an order issued to a foreign national commits an offence and is liable to a fine, imprisonment or both.
