Egypt - Apply for a Temporary Aircraft registration mark

Apply In-Person:

To apply for a temporary aircraft registration mark, approach the ETA(Egyptian Training Association).
Before using your temporary aircraft registration mark, the holder of the certificate (other than a manufacturer) must send to the ECAA aircraft registry evidence satisfactory to the ECAA that he is the owner of that aircraft. An aircraft bill of sale, or its equivalent, may be used as evidence of ownership.
Fill up and submit the application form required for the procedure.
Submit the required documents. Refer the “Required documents” section of this procedure to learn more.
Pay the required fees of 47.17 EGP.
The mark will be issued within 30 working days.

Note:

The use of temporary registration mark is subject to the following conditions
The temporary mark may be used and reused
Only in connection with the holder's of dealer's temporary aircraft registration certificate
Within the limitations of 47.69 where applicable, including the requirements of 47.67
On aircraft not registered under sub part B of this Part or in a foreign country, and not displaying any other identification mark.

Required DocumentsEdit

Aircraft Registration Application
A Certificate or notice of Temporary registration from the previous state of registry or a letter from the state of manufacture , if the aircraft is new and has never been registered in any other state, confirming non- registration.
The registration certificate must be received by the| Authority directly from the state of registry and should never be presented by the applicant - should be State to State. Document(s) to prove the aircraft ownership, (e.g. Bill of Sale, etc.);
A copy of a government issued Identity Card (ID) or Passport if owned by an individual, or any other identification card approved by the Authority

EligibilityEdit

To be eligible for a temporary aircraft registration mark, a person must have an established place of business in Egypt, must be substantially engaged in manufacturing or selling aircraft, and must be a citizen of Egypt.

FeesEdit

47.17 EGP.

ValidityEdit

A temporary aircraft registration mark expires at the end of the period allowed on it.

InstructionsEdit

The ECAA (Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority) issues temporary aircraft registration mark to manufacturers and dealers so as to:

Allow manufacturers to make any required flight tests of aircraft; and
Facilitate testing, demonstrating, and merchandising aircraft by the manufacturer or dealer without the burden of obtaining a certificate of aircraft registration for each aircraft with each transfer of ownership.
