Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a Real Estate Broker Certificate in person, the applicant has to approach the Egyptian Real Estate Taxation Authority. Contact link
2. Obtain the application form from the Estate Agents Registration Board office.
3. Read and complete the application form correctly and then obtain all the required supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below and attach the document to the application form in a single file.
4. The visit the Estate Agents Registration Board office and pay the non-refundable application fee of EGP. 1000 at the cash desk and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page and obtain the payment receipt.
5. Upon making the payment, submit the application file along with a copy of the payment receipt to the Estate Agents Registration Board officer at the service desk.
6. The Estate Agents Registration Board officer at the service desk will receive and verify if the application dossier is completed as required then issue the applicant with the acknowledgment receipt of the application.
7. The application will then be forwarded to the Estate Agents Registration Board for an in-depth review.
8. The board will evaluate the application and upon successful evaluation, the applicant shall be invited to an interview with the board.
9. upon receiving the invitation for the interview, prepare the originals of the following documents and visit the Estate Agents Registration Board to attend the interview
   • Original Academic Certificates.
   • Original Identification document or Passport.
   • Original Certificate of Good Conduct.
   • Original Letter of recommendation from a Registered and Practicing Estate Agent who trained the applicant.
10. Upon a successful interview, the applicant will be required to pay the certificate fee of EGP. 3000.
11. Upon paying the requisite fee the applicant’s name will be entered in a register maintained by the board and the applicant will be contacted by the Estate Agents Registration Board after a period of three weeks to collect his/her real-estate broker certificate.

• Egyptian citizens and residents are eligible to apply.

Fees

• The application fee is EGP. 1000.
• The certificate’s fee is EGP. 3000.

Validity

• The certificate is valid for one year.

Instructions

• Where the name of a person is entered in the register, the registrar shall issue to him a certificate of registration in such form as the Board may prescribe and the certificate shall remain the property of the Board
• The certificate remains the property of the board.

• Physical and Postal address of the applicant.
• Telephone number and E-mail address of the applicant.
• Nationality and Citizenship of applicant.
• Educational particulars (Secondary schools, Colleges, or Universities Attended).
• Membership of Professional Institutions registered.
• Work experience and employment information.
• Practice in an estate agency.
• Names and addresses of all other business practices you are currently involved in.
• Referees.
• Criminal history.

Need for the Document

• The certificate proves that the holder is an accredited Real Estate Broker.
