Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Tea Manufacturing License is done in person by visiting the Egypt Ministry of Health or Ministry of Foreign Trade and Industry. Contact link Or Contact link
  2. Application form should be obtained from the respective office.
  3. Also, make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  4. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  5. Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
  6. This is followed by an inspection of applicants by the Board Field Officers.
  7. The Board field officers will make recommendations on the application and forward their report forwarded to Board’s Headquarters for the ultimate Board approval.
  8. Upon a successful approval by the board a list of approved coffee dealers is published in the Egypt gazette.
  9. At this point the applicant is notified and he/she will be required to pay the respective license fee of US$ 500 to the board and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
  10. Once the license processing is done tea manufacturing License is issued to the applicant of license by the Managing Director of the ministry of health.
  11. New licenses take a maximum of 90 days to process.

  • A certified copy of certificate of incorporation/registration;
  • A certified copy of memorandum and articles of association/ constitution
  • Copy of title deed or certificate of leasehold as proof of ownership land or proprietorship and a current certificate of search or other supporting documents.
  • Proof of Reliable source of clean water
  • Proof accessibility of nursery site for inspection and materials transportation
  • Any other requirements that may be prescribed by the Authority from time to time

  • Any person, co-operative society, marketing board or company wishing to engage in the Tea Business as a Tea Management Agent.



FeesEdit

  • Application fees is $ 1,000 (Non-refundable)
  • License fees US$ 500.



ValidityEdit

  • The license is valid for a period of one year.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • A tea manufacturing license authorizes the holder to conduct the business of tea sale for local sale or for export.
  • No person can sale in tea unless he is the holder of a current license issued in respect thereof by the Board after consultation with the Director.
