Apply In-Person:
- ToApply for Reservation of Non-Governmental Organization Name in person, the applicant has to first contact the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration or Ministry of Social Solidarity.
- Address and contact details can be found in the following Contact link
- Applicant will then be required to give details about the business verbally i.e. business/entity name and business type, to the attending official, who will do the search on the computer data base.
- Applicants provide 3 business/ company name for search for availability of a name.
- The first step is making an application for reservation of a name and applicant can get this form by visiting the ministry of social solidarity offices.
- Fill in all application documents and submit the required documents to the NGO Board offices or other related offices.
- The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office.
- The name search and reservation takes a half a day to complete.
- Once a name has been approved, it is reserved for a period of sixty (60) days.
- The processing time is within a day.

InstructionsEdit
- Before an application to change a name is made, the applicant should submit the name of the NGO for approval from the Director of the Non-Governmental Organizations Board. This is done by filling Form 2 and Submitting the filled form to the Registry for conducting the search.
- The registry will search and recommend the reservation.
- Submission of reserved name to the Programmes Manager for approval.
- Pay applicable fees and submit proof of payment together with the application.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- An NGO needs to be registered for it to carry out its objectives in EGYPT. For it to be register it needs a name to operate with. Reservation allows the NGO to reserve its name during its registration.

- The Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board is a State Corporation established by the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act (Cap 19) of 1990. The Board has the responsibility of regulating and enabling the NGO sector in Egypt.
- The Board is currently under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.
- All NGO applications should be typed or filled in block letters.
- All applications MUST contain ORIGINAL signatures of the officials and members as applicable.
