Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Registration and Licensing to Practice Nursing in person, the applicant has to approach the Egyptian Nursing Journal.

3. After taking the nursing examinations administered by the ENJ, one is required to apply for entry/re-entry to the Egyptian nursing journal by taking the National Licensing Examination.
4. This application for registration and licensing must be done within 30 days following the release of the results.
5. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
6. The application must be completed in full and be presented to the Registrar, Egyptian nursing journal through the applicant’s institution of training.
7. All applications MUST be accompanied with a copy of National Identity Card ID]/ passport. Applicants for re-entry to examination MUST also attach the previous ENJ Examination Result Slip.
8. Documents that are needed for this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
9. The entry/re-entry to examination fee is EGP 5000 for Basic Programmes and EGP 7000 for Post-Basic Specialization Programmes.
10. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for verification and processing.
11. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the respective office.
12. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
13. Upon successful registration, the applicant will be awarded with a Registration Certificates and Practising license. This usually takes a period of 30 days.
14. The applicant will be notified to collect his Registration Certificates and Practising license via text or phone call. One is required to bring proof of identification when collecting the documents.

Eligibility

• Applicant must pass the nursing examination.

Fees

• Application for practice licence fees for nurses trained in Egyptians EGP 1000
• Application for practice licence fees for nurses trained outside Egypt, Egyptians EGP 2000, non-Egyptians $50.
• National licensing examination fees .the entry/re-entry to examination fee is EGP 5000 for basic programmes and EGP 7000 for post-basic specialization programmes.

Validity

• Licence is valid for three years. The license that will be issued to the nurse needs to be renewed in every three years.

Instructions

• Applicant must provide genuine information while applying for this procedure.\
• Applicant should follow all instructions provided by concerned authorities properly.
• The application must be completed in full and be submitted to the Registrar, Nursing journal of Egypt within 30 days following the release of Licensing Examination results by the Council.
• All applications must be accompanied with copies of National Identity Card [ID]/passport, Examination Result Slip and 2 colored passport size photographs. Upgrading applicants must also attach copies of previous certificates/qualifications, the original nursing practice license and the nursing practice license (retention) fee.
• The license that will be issued to the nurse needs to be renewed in every three years.

Need for the Document
