Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Nursing Student Index Number in person, the applicant should contact the Egyptian Nursing Journal.
2. Address and contact details can be found in the following Contact link
3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
4. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
5. Documents that are needed for this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant form while submitting it at the office.
7. This procedure can be done for free of cost.
8. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for verification and processing.
9. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the respective office.
10. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
11. After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their document for index number.
12. If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
13. The Processing time for this procedure is 1 month.

Required Documents

• Egypt ID Card
• Examination Certificate
• Secondary School Leaving Certificate
• Foreign Students must provide a certificate equal to that of the national examination certificate of Egypt.
• Medical Certificates
• Certificate of Good Conduct
• Copies of the CERTIFIED Examination Certificate and Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
• Foreign students should present copies of their certificates and equations of their certificates.
• Upgrading students must also attach copies of previous Nursing certificates/qualifications and current practice license.
• If names provided in the Indexing Application are different from the Legal Names listed in the National Identification Card [ID], documentary evidence of legal change of name must also be attached.

• The Student Index Number is valid until the nursing student finish undertaking their training programme and councils licensing examination.
