Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a Biometric Passport, the applicant must first submit a duly filled application form to the Ministry of Immigration.
2. The applicant is advised to carefully read all the instructions of this procedure and other guidelines on the Egyptian Immigration portal website.
3. Refer to “Required Information” section to learn more about the details required to fill in the application form.
4. Submit all the required documents along with the application form. Refer to the “Required Documents” section to learn more.
5. The applicants are advised to submit their application at least 2 to 3 months ahead of their planned travel date or prior to applying for any other services that requires a valid passport.
6. The applicant is required to visit the Embassy in person to give in their fingerprints.
7. Then the applicant must pay the required correct fees.
8. The passport division of the Embassy will review the application to make sure that it is complete.
9. Your application may be delayed, returned or refused if it does not accompany all the requested information, documents and fees.

• Driving license,
• Personal ID card or other documents.
• Registration paper attesting your nationality from the registration office of your province of residence,
• Police clearance or police report ((only for application presented in replacement for lost passport.)

Validity

All Biometric Egyptian passports have a life span of 10 years and has an initial validity of 5 years.

Required Information

• The application form must be filled in fully, legibly and accurately both in Arabic and English. (Preferably filled in Blue ink, it can be in hand or computer writer).
• Full name (three names: - your Name, your Father and your Grand Father name) in the provided space on application form separately.
• Applicants must answer each and every question on the application form.
• Birth date must be written in both Arabic and English.
