Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for a subsidy for mining operations, the applicant must approach the Egyptian Company for mineral resources Contact link
  2. The applicant can collect the application Form from the authority.
  3. Fill the forms with the right information to facilitate the process.
  4. Once the application form and any relevant supporting information/documents have been completed, signed, stamped, and certified where required
  5. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
  6. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  7. A fees for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
  8. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
  9. The Commission will review the application and all the submitted documents.
  10. This process takes averagely 2 to 3 months.
  11. Once the applicant meets all the requirements, the Commission will issue an invoice for the license fee to be paid. After payment is done, the Commission will proceed to issue the license accordingly.
  12. This is usually the case when applicants submit all the documents properly.
  13. If an application is rejected, the license fee shall be refunded back to the applicant.
  14. On consideration of the application, if the officer is satisfied, the officer will issue the license to the applicant.

  • Non-citizens may apply for a mineral right in respect of industrial minerals if the proposed investment in mineral operations is above $ 10 million.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • A Subsidy for Mining operation permit is issued to a holder of any prospecting right and provides the lessee the right to extract deposits within the land area of the mining lease, including the right to remove and dispose of the minerals as specified in the lease.
  • A Subsidy for Mining operation permit may be granted for a term of five to twenty-one years, and will set out the applicable terms and conditions for such mining.
