Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for the hunting permit in Egypt, the applicant is required to submit a request to the designated Coast Guard Intelligence office to issue the necessary security permit (clearance).
2. The applicant is also expected to pay advance fees of 40% and submit all the required documents like the passport, rifle details, hunting license to the organizer.
3. The hunting guest on arrival at the Airport is required to complete customs-clearing procedures regarding the hunting equipment Details. Then he/she (the hunter) will be transferred to the hunting area.
4. As per an internationally accepted hunting rule, the hunter is required to pay for all the hunting days planned, irrespective of the amount of days necessary to get the prey or achieve hunting success.
5. At the end of the agreed hunting period, the guest will be transferred to the hotel, irrespective of the success obtained.
6. Any shipping detail must be decided before leaving the country.
7. Hunters can bring one gun calibre 12/16/20.The Egyptian Authorities allow each hunter to have 500 Cartridges only during his trip.
8. Hunters can export up to 100 pieces of game per person. Before departure, the applicant needs to ascertain the authorization to import the species intended for hunting.
9. Accordingly to Egyptian Hunting rules and regulation, hunting license is categorized in different ways that you apply for.
10. Once the authority processes the documents and the applications, the applicant will receive a call to collect the permit within the mentioned processing period.

Eligibility

• Every hunter must have his shotguns with him and there are no rentals in Egypt.
• All Foreigners and Residents of Egypt with a hunting pass or license are Eligible.
• Foreigner tourist must have a tourist visa before securing a hunting permit in Egypt.

Fees

• 100 USD or 1570.12 EGP
  

Validity

• Hunting of single species on plain land generally last at least 21 days.
• Hunting of Lions and Leopards on plain land usually takes 21 days
• Mountain- hunting of Mountain and other Mountain species requires 21days.
• Mountain – and Plain- land Hunting of Mountain and other plain -land species takes 24 days.
• Plain land – and mountain hunting of Mountain, Lions and Leopards requires 30days.
