Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Appeal for Rejected Imported Products in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Egypt Contact link
2. An applicant who intends to Rejected Imported Products shall apply to commissioner general using appropriate application form prescribed by regulation Act.
3. Applicant should approach the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Egypt to pick a form for Appeal for Rejected Imported Products.
4. Fill up the appropriate application form as described by the Authority.
5. Make sure that his/her have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. After filling the form proceed to pay the prescribed fee.
7. A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority request.
8. Submit the dully filled in form with attached pay slip to the Commissioner General in charge of the area in which the free port zone is located
9. Collect your approval certificate from where your application was submitted within 14 days from the date the application was received at the Authority in case there is no rejection.
10. The Authority may, on terms and conditions it considers necessary, and on payment of a prescribed fee, issue to a person approval certificate to removal goods from the authority.
11. Where commissioner general rejects an application for Imported Products, the commissioner general shall cause an endorsement giving reason for rejection to be made on the reverse side of the application form informing the importer of the rejection.
12. An importer whose application is rejected shall with 10 days after the notification of the rejection, comply with the conditions of the rejection.
13. An importer whose application is rejected may, within 10 days after the notification of the rejection, appeal to the Minister for review of the decision.
14. Where the Authority approves an application, it shall inform the commissioner General of the decision.
15. Generally, the processing time for this procedure takes 1 month.
