Procedure

1. To apply for a driver license you wou have to approach any of the driving schools that are recoganised by the ANT, who are the authority for issuing driver license in Ecuador.
2. You can see the list of driving schools in the following link : Driving Schools for Driver License
3. Once you are registered with one of the ANT recoganised driving schools, you will be guided through the process of obtaining the driver license.
4. You would also be requested to complete the following.
   1. Eye and coordination exam form (examen psicosensometrico)
   2. Blood type card issued from the Ecuador Red Cross
   3. Completed Formulario (the application form)
   4. Ecuador Cedula
   5. Theory exam

Required Documents

• Original and copy of your ID documents such as cedula and censo. You receive these documents after you get your residency visa.
• Blood type card issued from the Ecuador Red Cross
• Two photographs, facing, ID size
• Eye and coordination exam form (examen psicosensometrico) Passed.
• Fill out the special request form which you get from the Transit office in Quito, or you can download it from the http://www.ant.gob.ec website. ANT stands for Agencia Nacional de Transito in Quito.
