Procedure

1. Fill up the application form you have obtain from the Immigration Department.
2. All required documents must be submitted together with the application, otherwise the application will not be accepted.
3. Pay the necessary application fee.

• Recent Police Record
• Photocopy of Treasury receipt as proof of payment of application fee
• Letter from applicant's sponsor accepting responsibility for applicant while in Dominica
• Cover letter from applicant requesting renewal

Application fee - to be paid at the Treasury Department:

• CARICOM Nationals: EC$250.00
• Non-CARICOM Nationals: EC$800.00

Instructions

All non-Nationals above the age of 18 years must complete an application form in duplicate. Application forms are available at the Immigration Department.

Need for the Document

Holders of Residence Permit allows the person to reside indefinitely within a country of which he or she is not a citizen.

The Labour Department is responsible for Citizenship and Naturalization, work and residence permits, industrial relations, labour and productivity, recruitment of workers, trade disputes and Trade Union issues.

The work of the Labour Division is governed by the Labour Standards Act Chapter 89:05 of the Revised Laws of Dominica. The Department is headed by the Labour Commissioner (Mr. Matthew LeBlanc) assisted by the Deputy Labour Commissioner, Labour Officers and other support staff.
