Dominica - Apply for Visitor Visa
ProcedureEdit
- Obtain necessary documents and have the copies notarized.
- Fill up the application form.
- Submit form along with all other required documents.
- Pay the application fee which is in a form of a bank draft.
Required DocumentsEdit
- Completed Visa Application Form
- Valid Passport and two passport sized photographs
- Letter of Invitation
- Bank statement of applicant or sponsor
- Employment letter (if employed) or proof of self-employment.
- Application fee (Bank Draft of EC$200.00) made payable to the Accountant General
NOTE:
- All information in Foreign Languages should be translated into English by a certified translator, stamped and notarized appropriately.
- All documents/copies should be notarized.
- Effective May 25, 2009, a Police Record and Medical Report (including HIV/AIDS test) are no longer required for applying for a Visa.

The following persons do not need a visa to enter into the Commonwealth of Dominica:
- Persons from the following countries wishing to enter into the Commonwealth of Dominica for a period not exceeding six months:
- Countries in the Commonwealth of Nations (Member States of the Commonwealth)
- CARICOM member states
- Austria
- Bulgaria
- Cyprus
- Czech Republic
- Estonia
- Finland
- Hungary
- Latvia
- Lithuania
- Poland
- Romania
- Slovakia
- Slovenia
- United States of America
- Persons from the following countries wishing to enter into the Commonwealth of Dominica for a period not exceeding three months:
- Argentina
- Belgium
- Costa Rica
- Denmark
- France
- Germany
- Greece
- Ireland
- Israel
- Italy
- Japan
- Luxembourg
- Malta
- Mexico
- Netherlands (including Netherland Antilles)
- Norway
- Portugal
- Taiwan

- Any in-transit passenger or bona fide tourist who is in possession of a return ticket and satisfies the Immigration Officer that he/she does not intend to remain in the State for a period exceeding twenty-one days.

Need for the DocumentEdit
A visa is a document stating that a person is authorized to enter or leave the territory for which it was issued, subject to permission granted by the immigration official at the time of actual entry.
The authorization may be a document, but it is commonly in a form of a stamp endorsed in the applicant's passport (or passport-replacing document).

The work of the Labour Division is governed by the Labour Standards Act Chapter 89:05 of the Revised Laws of Dominica. The Department is headed by the Labour Commissioner (Mr. Matthew LeBlanc) assisted by the Deputy Labour Commissioner, Labour Officers and other support staff.
