Djibouti - Obtain a Voters Card
ProcedureEdit
1.To obtain the voters card, an applicant must be registered on by the electoral authority (Commission Electorale Nationale Indpendante CENI). In this case therefore an applicant starts by identifying the nearest Commission Electorale Nationale Indpendante (CENI) registration centre. The centres are in most cases situated in the areas where voting during elections takes place (polling stations).
2.When the nearest registration place is identified, the applicant visits it to find out what is requires in order to obtain the voters card. This information is obtained from the registration / Commission Electorale Nationale Indpendante (CENI) officers at the registration station.
3.Thereafter prepare the documents required and submit them to the Commission Electorale Nationale Indpendante (CENI) officers for registration;
4.Upon registration, the applicant is notified on when to pick his / her voters card;

2.Applications should be made in person;
3.Applicants must appear in person to receive their voters cards;
4.Nationals living abroad can register at any Djibouti diplomatic or consular representation;
5.Always endeavor to keep the issued card in a safe place;
6.Non citizens cannot obtain a Djibouti voters card;
7.An applicant cannot register in more than one(1) registration centre;
8.A voters card cannot be shared / used by different voters but only the owner;

A voters card in Djibouti is issued to citizens of the country to enable them participate in any elections organized in the country. The National Independent Electoral Commission in Djibouti (La Commission Electorale Nationale Indpendante CENI) is responsible for handling all issues concerning elections in the country which includes issuance of voters cards to voters.
