Procedure

1.A foreigner who wishes to obtain Djibouti tourist visa deciding to either use a visa agent or do the application process him / herself;

(i)If the applicant decides to use a visa agent, he she must choose an agent who is registered and authorized to do so; and

(ii)If the applicant decides to go through the application procedure himself, he / she should start by identifying a nearest applicants issuing agency which is any Djibouti diplomatic representative (embassy / high commission / consulate) in home or neigbouring country. 2.At the identified issuing agency, the applicant should find out what is required in order to successfully obtain a tourist visa, and also obtain a visa application form from the agency;

3.The applicant must then fill the obtained application form accurately;

4.After filling form, attach all the required documents on to the filled application form;

5.Make all the necessary payments and also attach slip on to the filled application form;

6.Then submit application to the agency and wait for the visa to be processed. At this stage the applicants who use visa agents submit their documents to the selected agent, which agent forwards the documents to the issuing agency for visa processing;

Tourist visas cost ranges from US$35 to US$60. Applicants in USA pay the following fees

1.Djibouti Tourist Visa Single Entry (30 days) $65

2.Djibouti Tourist Visa Multiple Entry (90 days) $95

3.Djibouti Tourist Visa Multiple Entry (6 months) $125

Validity

Djibouti tourist visas are usually valid for three (3) or six (6) months but validity upon entry in the country is one (1) month per entry;

Instructions

1.Ensure that the passport submitted with application is valid with a blank page;

2.Purpose of visiting country should not be work related;

3.Always avoid giving false information while applying for visa;

4.A tourist visa does not allow engaging in work related activities;

5.Submit applicant earlier enough to allow a reason time for visa processing;

6.If a visa is issued, it does not mean automatic entry into the country;

7.Immigration authorities at the port of entry reserve the right to allow or reject entry of a foreigner;

8.Applicants should not carry or convey substances or goods prohibited by customs upon entry into the country;

9.Always enter the country through designated entry ports;

10.Applicants must be ready to comply with the rules and regulations of Djibouti immigration department and of the entire country;

11.Do not overstay beyond validity of visa;
