Procedure

How to apply

1. To obtain a water and sewage connection, visit the National de i’Eau et de I’Assainissement de Djibouti (ONEAD), agency office near you, approach the service desk and express your interest.
2. Submit the connection request, attach the support document (listed below under "Required Documents") and submit them to the attending official for verification and processing.
3. Pay the application fees (deposit).
4. A file will be opened in your name by the attending official. The ONEAD will have some of its personnel visit your residence to verify the compliance of standards. The officers will also estimate the amount you will be required to pay for the connection.
5. Depending on the quoted costs, you will be required to proceed with payments at the ONEAD office, where you will be issued with a receipt.
6. Upon payment of the required cost, External works, meter installation, and other essential processes will be done to make sure you can access water in 15 working days.

Eligibility

• The service is open to all

Fees

• Application fees to be paid on demand deposits 6,600 Fdj,
• Amount of the Quote and Advance on consumption (8,400 Fdj ) to be paid for the edition of the estimate by the Studies and Projects Department

Validity

• The water connection is valid forever unless failure of payment of the water bill, thus lead to disconnection of the service.
