How to apply

  1. You should visit the Caisse Nationale de la Sécurité Sociale (CNSS) office near you and express your interest at the service desk at least 3 months before the date on which the you reaches 55 years of age.
  2. Application form can be obtain at any CNSS branch office or download it via the CNSS website portal or click the link below to download,(application form)
  3. Please note that the Application form for the retirement pension benefit should be duly filled by your employer.
  4. Submit the completed application form along with the supporting documents (listed below under "Required Documents") for verification and processing to the attending official at the CNSS.
  5. If the authorized official is satisfied that all the documents are in order you will be notified of the outcome and be given further instruction.

  • Original/copy Marriage certificate (s)
  • Original/copy Family civil status file
  • 6 recent identity photos
  • Original a medical certificate of incapacity (for any request for early retirement)
  • 2 Copies Birth certificate (s) of child (ren) under the age of 21
  • Worker's identity card (CIN)
  • 2 copies Identity card (CIN) of the spouse (s)

InstructionsEdit

  • A normal retirement is a pension calculated from the average of the capped wages of the last 10 years by multiplying at an annuity rate. Thus, this pension varies between 30% and 81% of the declared salary.
  • The pension is paid quarterly and in arrears on January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 of each year.
  • The amount of the pension is remitted to the person concerned on proof of his identity. Payment by proxy is allowed on an exceptional basis.

  • According to Law n ° 17 / AN / 08 / 6ème L of 11/10/2008 the general retirement scheme for salaried workers and contributors of CNSS retirement scheme are entitled to retirement pension benefits upon attaining the normal retirement age of 55 years old.
