European Firearms Permit

  • You must submit your completed application form to the police, along with all other required documents. To find a Police Station


Weapons Collections

The police also issues permit for the acquisition and possession of weapons to weapons collections and collections of detachable magazines. The license does not include ammunitions.

There are special rules for granting authorization to acquire and possess firearms for weapons collection.

The collector shall keep an updated list containing information about the firearms in his possession.

Submit your application for authorization and appropriation offices in the police district where the authorization is sought.

For those people who can prove that he/she needed the gun for emergency release, dog training, sports, etc. they may secure a license from the police.

EligibilityEdit

Firearms License are usually issued to individuals who have a valid hunting license. In special cases, licenses may also be granted to any person, including members of shooting/hunting association and for business purposes.

  • The police will only issue licenses to acquire, possess, carry and use rifles/hunting weapons to individuals with clean criminal record.


European Firearms Permit

  • The police will only issue firearms pass for hunters and marksmen who resides permanently in Denmark. Applicants must also have a valid license to possess, carry and use a firearm for hunting or target shooting.

  • For those who acquire or possess firearms for collection purposes.


Signal Weapons

  • For individuals who can prove that he/she needed the gun for emergency release, dog training, sports, etc.

InstructionsEdit

Hunting Rifles / salon rifles, etc. Issuance of the license impose certain conditions:

  • The permit is subject to valid / paid hunting license and may be revoked at any time. The license must be returned to the police upon renewal, or if the permit is not used. A transfer may be made ??only to the person with a valid permit for the weapon.
  • Loss of the firearm, and/or ammunitions, or the permit itself must be immediately reported to the police.
  • The permit must be kept and carried along with the firearm. You must be able to present your permit whenever the police asks for it.
  • The gun must be stored safely, for example, in an approved weapons locker.
  • If there is a change in your address , you must inform the authorities immediately. Firearms license and form P704-20 returned. New license will issued. Issuance of new license due to change of address is free of charge.
