Davao Region - Reactivation of Voter Registration Record

This procedure explains various ways to Reactivation of Voter Registration Record in Davao Region.
Reactivation is for previously registered voters whose voting record have been deactivated for failure to vote in two consecutive national regular elections. Any overseas voter whose registration has been deactivated may file with the Resisent Election Registration Board (RERB) at any time, but not later than one hundred twenty (120) days before the start of the overseas voting period. Otherwise, in Philippines, during the next scheduled registration record, a voter with a deactivated registration record may file for the reactivation of his/her registration record with the local COMELEC office of the city/municipality where he/she is registered. Please follow the below guide to apply for reactivation of Voter Registration Record:
I. For Overseas Voters
- Prepare the requirements:
- Your valid Philippine passport, or a certification from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in lieu of a passport;
- For seafarers, a photocopy of the Seaman’s Book;
- For dual citizens or those who reacquired or retained Filipino citizenship via Republic Act 9225, the original or certified true copy of the Order of Approval, or the Identification Certificate issued by the foreign posts or the Bureau of Immigration;
- The completed application for reactivation of registration record Application, a sworn application for reactivation of registration stating that the grounds for the deactivation no longer exist.
- Apply for reactivation of voter registration record
- Visit a suitable office in the Field Registration Centers Field Registration Centers link or the List of Consular Jurisdictions link and head to the corresponding RERB. Present the required documents and follow the entire officer’s guide to apply for reactivation of voter registration record.

II For General voters in Philippines
- Prepare the requirements:
- Three copies of the application form to fill up Link;
- Your valid ID with photograph and signature such as:
- Employee’s identification card, with the signature of the employer or authoraized representative;
- Postal ID;
- PWD Discount ID;
- Student’s ID or library card, signed by the school authority;
- Senior Citizen’s ID;
- Driver’s license;
- NBI clearance;
- Passport;
- SSS/GSIS ID;
- Integrated Bar of the Philippine (IBP) ID;
- License issued by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC);
- Certificate of Confirmation issued by the National Commision on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) in case of members of ICCs or Ips; and
- Any other valid ID.
- In the absence of any of the above-mentioned identification documents, the applicant may be identified under oath by any registered voter of the precinct where he/she intends to be registered, or by any of his/her relatives within the fourth civil degree of consanguinity or affinity. No registered voter or relative shall be allowed to identify more than three applicants. Community Tax Certificates (cedula) and PNP clearance shall not be honored as valid identification documents for purposes of registration.
