Daman and Diu - How to Pay Electricity Bill

Electricity bill payment for the electricity consumed by a consumer shall be paid to the respective state electricity board (department).
“Electricity Department of Daman and Diu” is a state-owned electricity regulation and distribution board operating within the state of Daman and Diu.
Payment of electricity bill shall be paid by
1. Pay In-Person
2. Pay Online
3. Pay through App
4. Pay through other sources

Tariff:

There are different amount charged for residential and commercial users. The rate of per unit charge varies with state to state and as per the slab decided by the respective electricity board.

Pay in person

Consumers shall pay their electricity bill at the respective electricity office. Please use the below links to get contact details of respective division / Sub division. Division Contact link AND Toll free number: 1800 270 5551 to locate the bill counter.
Go to the respective division / Subdivision and pay your bill amount along with the bill to make payment.
The counter staff will issue you the receipt for the payment made

Pay Online – through Daman and Diu Electricity Department portal

Go to online portal link
Please select “Quick Pay” from the menu to reach next page
Enter the consumer id as prompted and hit “Add” to get details of the Consumer id as extension
Please enter email, mobile number at prompted box and hit “Pay” to reach next page
In the given screen, user can select “Edit” option to change any of the details or else hit “Pay” to reach payment gateway page
In the payment gateway page, please select the type of payment(Credit / Debit / Net Banking) and provide required details at prompted places and hit make payment to reach the successive page.
User should follow the screen prompt for the payment mode selected to complete online payment transaction.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

Daman and Diu (U.T) Electricity Dept Mobile App

This app can be downloaded using the Google play store. Link for download : Play store link
Once installed, registration of account has to be performed by following the screen prompt using consumer ID, email ID and mobile number.
After successful registration, user will get the screen with options to enter mobile number. Please enter the mobile number and hit “Submit” and follow screen prompt to get next screen.
User gets options listed in the main screen after registered. Here, use the Pay now option to reach next screen
Once the next screen reached, please provide the prompted details and proceed for making payment using appropriate option.
Once the payment gateway page is reached, user can select respective payment gateway option to make the payment.
Please fill in the applicable details and follow the screen prompts to progress for completing the online payment process.
Once the payment is made, an acknowledgement for the payment received will be prompted. User can save / print it for future reference

BBPS (Bharath Bill Payment System)

Use the following link to pay at your area BBPS outlet as per pin code: BBPS outlet link
1. Please select “find nearest Bharat BillPay outlet” option provided at the bottom of the page.
2. Enter your pin code at the box provided and hit “Go” to reach the next page with contact details. Please follow the page to get the details of payment outlet and pay their directly

Please select the Respective electricity department and follow the screen prompt and proceed further to make the payment

Other Apps to pay

Users shall use the private app’s to make payment of electricity bill. Please make sure with the respective department officials to confirm about these service providers to make payment.
Electricity bill can be paid through following apps Paytm, Amazon, Freecharge, Mobikwik etc,.

Every applicant has to have a meter reading to calculate consumption

Electricity bills are generated with the slab rates applicable for the units consumed as per the state regulations
As a consumer, it is mandatory to pay prescribed amount as advised by respective board. (even the electricity is not consumed, each states has different default charges levied to its active consumers and the same has to be paid)
