Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for Duplicate Fitness certificate in Daman and Diu the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

6. The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for this procedure
   
7. Make sure you have the written complaint on a white A4 sheet of paper
   
8. The applicant should bring in their vehicle for inspection.
   
9. Present the completed application and documents in the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
   

Note: The duplicate Fitness will be marked in Red as “DUPLICATE”.

Apply Online:

1. To apply for a duplicate vehicle fitness certificate in Daman & Diu, the applicant shall visit the following link:Link
2. Enter login credentials and captcha, if already a user, otherwise, click on the "Register Now" button on the webpage.
3. Provide all the necessary details required for registration and sign up.
4. On a newly opened page, select state and choose an appropriate option for a duplicate vehicle fitness certificate.
5. After that, fill out all the necessary details in the fields provided to proceed further.
6. Now provide the "Required Documents" and make the payment (if any) to apply.
7. A registration number will be sent to the email ID and phone number of the applicant after successful application.
8. The applicant shall now visit:Link and provide the registration number and application number to print the fitness certificate.
   
   

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply for a duplicate vehicle fitness certificate (FC) in Daman & Diu, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the mandatory application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the certificate.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Make the requisite payment (if applicable).
6. Now, submit the application to the office of the concerned centre and obtain the acknowledgement slip.
7. After successful verification, the duplicate vehicle fitness certificate will be issued by the concerned authority.
8. Obtain the certificate from the concerned CSC centre by showing the acknowledgement slip.

Eligibility

• The validity of the FC is not lapsed
  
• Vehicle should be produced for inspection
  
• Vehicle owner is eligible to apply for renewal of Fitness Certificate

Validity

• In case of Private vehicles the fitness certificates is valid for 15 years and there after renewed at every 5 years
  
• In case of Transport Vehicles the fitness certificate is issued for a new vehicle for 2 years and subsequently renewed every year

Need for the Document

• Fitness Certificate is an official document certifying that the holder’s vehicle is fit to drive at public places. As this certificate is a very important document in renewal of permits. One has to get the duplicate of the FC as and when he found that he has lost / misplaced / torned
  
• The registration of vehicle is treated as valid only if the vehicle has valid certificate of fitness. Fitness certificate for a vehicle in Chhattisgarh is required to renew the current status of the vehicle
  
• The fitness is checked and certified by the Registering Authority
  
• Fitness certificate is issued to check the pollution caused by the emission of smoke from the vehicles, to maintain the vehicle in proper condition and to avoid accidents
