ProcedureEdit

  • Apply for a duplicate ration card, when…
    • Original Ration Card is Totally Damaged
    • Original Ration Card is stolen
    • Original Ration Card is Lost or Misplaced


Apply In-Person

  1. In order to obtain a duplicate ration card, please approach the ration office of your area OR The Departmert of Food & Civil Supplies as applicable.
  2. Please refer our “Office Locations & Contacts” session for contact details.
  3. Please go to the respective office.
  4. Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used.
  5. The Head of Family Must write a letter stating the reason behind a new ration card request and attach the remains of original ration card (in case of damaged ration card) or the copy of report registered with police station (in case of lost or stolen ration card).
  6. Please submit the completed application along with required documents to the respective authority.
  7. Authorities after checking the submitted application along with attached documents will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
  8. Keep it safe for future reference.
  9. This application will be processed internally to issue the ration card as per notification.



Apply Online:

  1. To apply for a duplicate Ration Card in Daman & Diu, the applicant shall visit the following webpage: Link.
  2. Now click on the "Ration Card Data (New) and proceed.
  3. A new page will open up, where the applicant needs to log in using their login credentials.
  4. After login, the applicant shall choose an appropriate option for a Duplicate Ration Card and proceed further.
  5. On a newly opened page, the applicant shall fill up the application form with all the necessary details and complete the given application form.
  6. Now the applicant shall upload scanned copies of all the " Required Documents" for further processing.
  7. Once the documents are uploaded, provide the mobile number and enter the received OTP.
  8. Now click on "Submit" and complete the process.
  9. On successful verification, a duplicate card will be issued.
  10. Obtain the ration card from the portal or the concerned office.




Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply for a duplicate ration card in Daman & Diu, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
  2. Procure the mandatory application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the certificate.
  3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
  4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
  5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre and obtain the acknowledgement slip.
  6. After successful verification, the duplicate ration card will be issued by the concerned authority.
  7. Obtain the card from the concerned CSC centre by showing the acknowledgement slip.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • For implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS), Ration Card is being issued to all the heads of families, with details about family members included in the card. Based on their economic condition, people can buy goods like food grains, sugar and kerosene with the help of their ration cards.
  • Ration card is essential to apply for passport, PAN card or a domicile certificate or to even get the name registered for electoral rolls to get a Voter ID. Hence one need to apply for duplicate copy and obtain the same.
