Procedure

1. Go to the embassy of Czech Republic with competence for the state in which they reside permanently, or for a state whose nationality you are asking.
2. Submit the embassy statement along with the documents sent to the competent regional office within 15 days.
3. If you lose the citizenship declaration, fill in the required form that will be sent to the embassy of the Czech Republic abroad or to the appropriate regional office.
4. Submit the completed form.

Note: You can also make a statement in front of the regional office competent according to the place of last permanent residence in the Czech Republic. If you've never permanent residence in the Czech Republic did not have a locally competent Municipal Authority of Prague first.

Eligibility

A citizen of the Czech Republic may make a declaration of renunciation of citizenship of the Czech Republic if:

• He is staying permanently abroad and at the same time
• in the Czech Republic it is not a permanent resident while
• is a citizen of a foreign state, or asking for acquiring foreign citizenship and a statement of renunciation of citizenship of the Czech Republic is in connection with the acquisition of citizenship.

Administrative fees or other fees are not set.

Processing Time

The competent regional office of the declaration shall decide within 60 days of its receipt.

Instructions

• Declarations can include a child. If the declaration is only one of the parents of the child, it is necessary to submit the agreement to the other parent's notarized signature with the fact that the child lost citizenship of the Czech Republic.
• The consent of the other parent is not required if it has been deprived of parental responsibility, parental responsibility of his performance in this area was limited or suspended, unless his stay if he lives outside the Czech Republic, known or died.
