Cote Divoire - Obtain a Tax identification Number

To obtain a Tax Identification number, the applicant must start with the processes of registering business in the country and there are as below;
1.The applicants start by contacting a notary to assist in the registration process. In this case applicants are advised to use notaries that are legally registered and authorized to operate in the country.
2.When a notary is contracted, he / she starts by drafting laws and also certifies the paid-in initial capital of the company / business to be registered;
3.Thereafter the applicant should deposit the certified capital in to the bank on the companys bank account;
4.Then when the capital is deposited, the applicant proceeds with registration at the one-stop shop Centre de Promotion des Investissements en Cte D'Ivoire (CEPICI). Here the applicant submits application for registration with different authorities which include the tax authority (Direction Gnrale d Impots);
5.The documents submitted are reviewed and assessed and at the end of the registration process at the one-stop shop, the applicant together with other documents from other authorities receives a Tax Registration Certificate with a Tax Identification Number from the Direction Gnrale d Impots;

Legal fees for drafting laws and certifying deposit of initial capital
- Companies with capital of XOF 1,000,000 XOF 120,000
- Companies with capital above XOF 1,000,000 a percentage is charged basing on capital. It ranges from 3% of capital
- Depositing capital in the bank free of charge
- Registration at the one-stop shop Centre de Promotion des Investissements en Cte D'Ivoire (CEPICI).
- Company with capital less or equal to XOF 5billion 0.3% of capital.
- Company with capital XOF 5 billion or more 0.1% of capital (for each fraction above XOF 5 billion).
- Depositing company laws XOF 5000
- Declaration of fiscal existence of company XOF 1000
- Stamps duties XOF 500 per page.
