ProcedureEdit

  • Application should obtain Forms and any other information from the nearest Immigration Office
  • Take the passport forms and two passport photos to the immigration Office in person for processing.
  • Passport photos must be color photographs, 5 cm x 5 cm (2 in x 2 in). The photo must be full face, with a white or off-white background. No photographs with dark glasses or head-coverings other than religious wear which shows face, ears, and hairline.
  • The forms should be taken personally by the applicant for endorsement by Area Local Authority
  • After endorsement above, applicant should present passport application forms and supportive documents to cash office for assessment and Bank payment Advise forms.
  • Take any identification at hand, such as your driver's license or birth certificate, to prove citizenship at the immigration Office. If a police report was filed about the stolen or lost passport, take that as well. Additional forms will need to be filled out at the Immigration office.
  • Attach your verified bank return onto your passport application documents and present them to the person receiving officer at the Passport Receiving Section or your nearest Immigration Office.
  • The Immigration office will process the passport within a few days.
  • You will be required to present your identification at the time of collecting your passport.

  • Covering letter from Employer / School / Parents / Guardian or person well known to applicant. *The covering letter should be addressed to the Passport Control Officer;
  • Copy and original applicant's identification documents e.g Voters card, birth certificates, school certificate, residential ID, baptism card, employer's card.
  • 4 coloured passport size photos taken against a white background.

Recommendation from citizen of good repute

  • Proof of profession
  • Any other information as may from time to time be required by the Passport Control Office

  • In case of children /people under the age of 18 years of age, written Consent from Father or legal guardian.
  • The Application must be recommended in section Act by a citizen of Cote Divoire who is not an immediate relative.
  • Must be Bona Fide Ivory Coast citizen.

Need for the DocumentEdit

A passport valid for six months after the intended length of stay in the Ivory Coast is required by all nationals planing to visit Cote Divoire. Cote Divoire passports are issued to nationals of ivory Coast for the purpose of international travel. Besides serving as a proof of Ivorian citizenship, they facilitate the process of securing assistance from Cote Divoire consular officials abroad if needed.

Passports forms are available at the Embassy and can also be downloaded (from the US State Department website. You are advised to Take them to the Consular Section with supporting documents for processing.

If there is no access to the internet or a printer, visit the Embassy of Cote Divoire in your Country of Origin, If you are in Cote Divoire you can visit in the Riviera Golf neighborhood of the Cocody section of Abidjan to obtain forms.
