Applicant must fill out an application form, "permanent residence of foreigners in China Application Form " and submit the following materials:
(1) a valid foreign passport or replacement of a passport ;
(2) the Chinese government designated quarantine issued by the department or by the Chinese embassy or consulate accredited foreign health care agencies to issue a health certificate ;
(3) by the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad, certified proof of no criminal record ;
(4) four two inches recent bareheaded color photos ;
(5) of the Regulations of the other related materials.

EligibilityEdit

when applying for permanent residency, foreigners in China should abide by Chinese laws , have good health and have no criminal record , and meet the following conditions:

Provide eligibility criteria's for going through this procedure.Edit

direct investment in China, invest in China for three consecutive years investing in stable condition and good tax records ;
in China as vice president and deputy director and other positions of associate professor or above , senior vice researcher or above, enjoy the same position and treatment consecutively for over four years , at least three out of four years of residence in China, with good tax records;
has significant outstanding contributions to China and what the Chinese nationally needs;
of the (1.), (2.), (3.) subparagraph to the spouse and unmarried children under 18 years of age ;
Spouse of Chinese citizens or Foreigners who have permanent residence status in China, marital relationship continues to exist for five years, has been in China for five years with continuous residence, of not less than nine months in a year in China and have stable source of subsistence and residence ;
parents joining their unmarried children under 18 years of age;
no direct relatives abroad , seeking refuge within the immediate family , over 60 years of age , has been in China for five years with continuous residence , residence of not less than nine months in a year in China and have a stable source of subsistence and accommodation

Period under this section refer to the years immediately preceding the date of the application

Above (1). foreigners referred to its investment in China actually paid registered capital shall meet the following conditions:
(1) in the state promulgated the "Foreign Investment Industrial Guidance Catalogue " encouraged industry investment total US$ 500,000 or more ;
(2) in China's western regions and key counties for national poverty alleviation and development investment of more than US$ 500,000 in total ;
(3) in central China invested more than US$ 1 million total ;
(4) in Chinese investments Total US$ 2,000,000 or more.

Above (2) foreigners referred to its office units shall meet the following conditions:
(1) the State Council departments or provincial people's government-owned institutions ;
(2) Ecole high level educational institutions ;
(3) the implementation of national key projects or major research projects of enterprises and institutions ;
(4) high-tech enterprises , encouraged foreign investment enterprises, foreign- invested advanced technology enterprises or foreign- invested export enterprises.

Applicant must fill out an application form, "permanent residence of foreigners in China Application Form " and submit the following materials:

by the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad, certified proof of no criminal record ;
four two inches recent bareheaded color photos ;
of the Regulations of the other related materials.

Above (Eligibility 1). direct investment in China, foreign investor applicant referred to also submit foreign investment enterprise approval certificate , registration certificate and proof of joint inspection , verification report, and the personal tax clearance certificate .
Encouraged foreign investment enterprises should also be submitted to the State encourages the development of foreign-invested project confirmation letter .

Above (Eligibility 2). the application needs to submit the following materials :
(1) serving units issued proof of their position or title ;
(2) "Foreign Expert Certificate " or " Alien Employment Permit " ;
(3) working units annual inspection certificate and proof of registration , personal tax clearance certificate ; if the office is a foreign- invested enterprises, the foreign-invested enterprises need to submit the certificate of approval and joint annual inspection certificate ;
(4) in the implementation of key national projects or major research projects of enterprises and institutions, the serving personnel is required to submit provincial and ministerial government department in charge of the project documents issued; serving in high-tech enterprises, the high-tech enterprises will need to submit certificate; encourage foreign investment enterprises, foreign- invested advanced technology enterprises or foreign- invested export enterprises, the serving personnel required to submit state encourages foreign investment in the development of the project confirmation letter or foreign-invested advanced technology enterprises confirmation letter or export enterprises with foreign investment company confirmation letter.

Above (Eligibility 3). an applicant referred to in Item Chinese government needs, to submit a letter of recommendation issued by the competent authorities and the relevant proof.

Above (Eligibility 4). the applicant, being the spouse, need to submit proof of marriage; being the unmarried children under 18 years of age, need to submit a birth certificate or proof of parentage; it it is an adoptive relationship, need to submit proof of adoption. If the documents are issued by foreign institutions, further proof is required by the Chinese Embassy in the country and consular certification.

Above (Eligibility 5). the applicant needs to be submitted proof of nationality or permanent residence of Chinese spouse or the "Alien Permanent Residence Permit" of the foreigner spouse, marriage certificate, notarized living proof and proof of ownership or rental . If the documents are issued by foreign institutions, further proof is required by the Chinese Embassy in the country and consular certification.

Above (Eligibility 6). the applicant need to be submitted proof of nationality or permanent residence of the chinese parents or "Alien Permanent Residence Permit" for the foreigner parents. the applicant's birth certificate or proof of parentage; an adoptive relationship , need to submit proof of adoption . If the documents are issued by foreign institutions, further proof is required by the Chinese Embassy in the country and consular certification.

Above (Eligibility 7). the applicant to submit an application to be surrendered, must submit Chinese citizens being surrendered proof of residence, foreigners resident with the "Alien Permanent Residence Permit", notarized proof of kinship and patron no direct relatives abroad, notarized proof of financial resources or people who are seeking refuge financial affidavit, notarized person or is patron of rental or ownership certificates . If the documents are issued by foreign institutions, further proof is required by the Chinese Embassy in the country and consular certification.

Foreigners who apply for permanent residence in China, by themselves or unmarried children under 18 years of age or parents to be the principal major investment or long-term residence to the municipal districts or municipalities, the public security organization of public security branch, county office to apply. By the trustee on behalf of the application is required to submit the power of attorney issued by the applicant. Power of attorney issued in a foreign country, further proof is required by the Chinese Embassy in the country and consular certification.
